Re: Let's Attend Some Store Championships
You can crash at mine if you want mate. I'm heading to DS on the sunday, haven't worked out trains yet. I live about ten mins from Reading on the train (but on the Waterloo line. Finish work at 6.30 on Saturday. That would be great! Idk what time we're due back in Reading - it's 4 rounds and either...

Re: Let's Attend Some Store Championships
Hello Readingers! Due to an imminent and unexpected move abroad, this weekend is my only chance to attend any scs. You might be wondering what this has to do with you, given that this weekends scs are in Exeter and London. Well... WELL... I was enquiring in stimhack slack chat where halfway between ...

Re: My first runner deck (mistakes were made)
Yeah to be fair it's actually entirely legit in a deck with Progenitor, [Hivemind] and Virus Breeding Ground - you can be back at strength 4 after 2 clicks of your first turn following a purge once you're fully set up. The only reason I didn't use it more was Blackmail is an even easier way in :P I'...

Re: My first runner deck (mistakes were made)
Darwin was the only icebreaker in my Oxford SC winning runner deck. I lost the one game where I can remember actually installing it.

Re: Stuck for runner
Two lists jumped out at me from worlds as being interesting and worth trying - the obvious one is the book of kate, which looks like an interesting variant on normal prepaid and definitely worth a few games, and the other was Apocalypse Now/Fury Road. I'd been playing apocalypse maxX at the Southamp...

Re: Tier* 1 Sage Adam
Adam is a dick to Sol, because all his own cards are so marginal it's impossible to pick something worthwhile for Targeted Marketing that he's actually definitely running :P I guess picking brain chip is probably the way to go, or maybe just Kati and hope it's not some odd build that's avoided her. ...

Re: Bring the Noise
I've been back on Noise for a while now, and recent testing has suggested that against Fastro you're probably better off going for a control game than trying to R&D dig. CVS makes medium really sad, and their ice can be awkward for the sort of repeated runs it requires, especially when you have ...

Re: Tokyo Teddy Bear - HB NEXT with Teeth
and if they don't have a parasite silver is impossible for faust to get through. Huh? It's what, 3-4 cards at the absolute most vs noise? And most likely 1-2 given all the parasites and Imps you're packing? That's trivial for Faust, especially since you're only ever gonna be breaking it once then p...

Re: Hybrid valencia
Even without changing to Escher, t seems a shame not to include the full 3x SoT when you're paying 4 inf a pop for Siphons, especially since Val gets good value out of using them on Blackmail too. You could easily lose an Inject, IHW or Chronotype for it, having all of those really is an insane amou...

Re: Because We Built It - Part 3: Executives and Exposes
I agree pure rush certainly isn't in a good spot right now and isn't worth including as an archetype all of it's own, I just think a little more clarification on what fast advancing is and how you need to think about the other ways your deck can score (especially now with Clot being a big thing) mig...

Re: Because We Built It - Part 3: Executives and Exposes
I think you've made a bit of a mistake in your classification of fast advance decks. It's a common error but one of the things that bugs me most in netrunner discussions so I had to bring it up - you've conflated Fast Advance and Rush. These are two very different strategies! Fast Advance means scor...

Re: Encrypted News Feed
And you're paying for the utterly ridiculous rez cost on Old Hollywood Grid how exactly? Also worth noting that you have to pay to re-play currents with Sol - I think you're gonna need a bunch more money if you want to be able to get the big ice rezzed and still afford the Grid and endless ELPs. Pro...

I'd definitely be up for playing some games on Jinteki.net, especially if i can get it to work at lunchtimes at work, but I don't have much interest in a league.

Re: Mentally preparing myself for Quinns tomorrow
If you've not booked it yet, just get a ticket that goes straight through to the local station, that should let you on the relevant tubes and local trains. There seem to be 2 stations within 10 mins walk of the venue, Dalston Kingsland was the easiest to get to from Euston but it'd be worth checking...

Re: Mentally preparing myself for Quinns tomorrow
I've been co-opted into team Sheffield as a last minute replacement, along with Maznaz, Richard Hammond (not that one, as far as I can tell from Facebook)and Paul Johnson, who apparently is an American who's only been in Sheffield a few months, giving the team a far superior spread of different meta...

Re: Dealing with Net-Ready Eye
A lot changed for Anarch with the big box. They have at least one runner now who can happily use a full rig - RegAss type MaxX builds (including Tim's prepaid variant as well as Dan D's original) are at least as strong as the Siphon/Eater variants, in fact I'd say they're significantly stronger, I f...

Re: Dealing with Net-Ready Eye
Power Shutdown is definitely my preferred approach as I've always loved that card anyway, but there's another trick you can pull with some decks: get both a strength 4 Code Gate and Sentry on the same server. If you can get a Lotus field set up with a surprise Ichi inside it you have the potential t...
