Re: Weekly Casual Meetup

I quite like the look of the game, but I'm unsure TM will be getting it. It's not really a short, family friendly sort of game that suits them. Not like that Rhino game.

Re: Weekly Casual Meetup

I am on stream! Well, a YouTube video . Lots of beard tugging there, I've got to stop doing that. (That said, it is pretty damn sexy so I might keep on doing it.) If you click here you can watch me bid 0 for a psi-game! The commentator is "Mmm, what do you bid here?" Simon is thinking it ...

Re: Weekly Casual Meetup

Bravo James! Glad you're maintaining the Oxford triumphs. It's very satisfying to see our little team fighting its corner with such success.

I am planning on attending tonight. Hope not everyone is too burned out from the weekend!

Re: Massive congratations to Chris and to all of team UK

Great achievements. I knew we'd take Worlds - we had such a solid contingent.

How much should we be thanking Laurie for organising the training regime?

Re: Weekly Casual Meetup

Thanks Pete! I am looking forward to picking that up by asking if they have any reserved copies for 'Brenlactus, destroyer of worlds'. I've been absent lately as I'm not finding anything that is both fun and playable against CTM and HB, and the meta is a bit dull right now (I don't really want to pl...

Re: Weekly Casual Meetup

Hmm - I wasn't convinced on the kids before, but there are a lot of similarities. But would Sunny really buy that rubbish for her kids? Also, I have finally discovered a thing about NetRunner that harshes my yams: the unsolicited coach. That's when someone "helpfully" looks at your hand an...

Re: Weekly Casual Meetup

To provoke scoring windows in CTM - assuming political assets aren't doing the job - the next step is a SanSan or a GFI in the remote (it's no huge loss if this is stolen early, due to EoI).. As CTM, typically the first two pieces of ice should go on the most important central and then the remote, u...

Re: Weekly Casual Meetup

True Story: on that Saturday in February while we were deep into NetRunner my Dad took ill and died. When I got back home late that night the drama of dying was over and all that was left was a hollow stumble into bed. There's no real point to this, I'm just sharing: I'll always remember that day f...

Re: Weekly Casual Meetup

Cheers Brendan! I have a timing question. I have scored a Nisei. I have not spent the token. I have a Lotus Field over a remote. The Runner has Eater. The Runner plays Spooned. Is there a window for me to spend the Nisei token and end the run before the encounter with the ICE? It's appalling that I...

Re: Weekly Casual Meetup

CtM is an awful lot more interesting an engaging than previous asset spam decks - when the games are close. But the games are often not close. If the corp gets a really strong start - a couple of political assets and a money card turn 1, for instance - it can snowball out of control very quickly. Li...

Noise is pretty rough with a single core set!

And I've no idea what you even do with NEH with only a single SanSan.
