Re: Net ready bull$hit

Here's a first draft of a new ICE spread im going to try in RP. 12 influence for ice + 3 Jackson and there's none left for anything else. Probably have to cut back on something - probably the Turing and/or the Changeling. Quicksand is another possible barrier, or go large with wall of thorns (as on...

Re: Online league

I tried Jinteki.net; Once it goes above around 20 concurrent games it seems too wobbly, which covers most normal UK times.

Re: Oxford Store Championship - March 21st

Is there any Netrunner happening on Sunday 22nd in that part of the UK? Was thinking of making a weekend of it as I have to be in Reading on Monday.

Re: Honour and Profit Corp Review

Oh man I love these things, I get to disagree with my own reviews. Yes, that is the fun bit. I would change over a third of my ratings now, though generally only by one point. The card I most underrated was Future Perfect and the card I most overrated was Shi Kyu. Dave P, re Tenma Line: I follow yo...

I saw that event at Fanboy on their site but unfortunately I'm busy next Saturday. :(

Do they often host events at Fanboy?

I expect there will continue to be one a month (there has been at least one a month since February when I started). Michael Coop organizes the events.

Re: New Player - Cheshire

There is also a group at Fanboy3 in Manchester near Piccadilly station that meets on a Wednesday evening. Gets half a dozen players typically. Plus there is the fun "Honor and Profit" tournament this Saturday (28th June). Text below copied from the Facebook event: Fanboy3, 17 Newton Street...

Re: The 2014 UK Nationals thread!

Since Honor and Profit the meta seems to have shattered and become more fun and diverse. I expect weird and wonderful decks of all colours including Anarchs and some of the lesser played corp identities as well as the new identities. I expect to see more Jinteki decks, and all of them running Komain...

Re: 10 New Lunar Cycle Spoilers

I suspect corp and runner decks may have to have currents to counter the other players currents. Depending on the order these things come out a cheap in-faction current for use as a counter may be a resonable include.

Re: 10 New Lunar Cycle Spoilers

Ohh enhanced login protocol in my RP deck sure would be tasty! Yup, my thoughts too. Cheaper and more wide ranging than Ruhr Valley, lower influence too. Looks like a runner will have to keep a current in hand as counters to all these. Bad Times is well named. Tag me decks are in for some fun. Coul...

I assumed you took your name from the old netrunner ice.

Hmm, Ashigaru and Panic Button, which is only 1 influence.

Re: Monthly low-key tournament?

By random IDs do you mean they turn up and are assigned an ID and construct a deck on the spot? Also how about a singleton deck format? Only one of each card allowed. That gets you trying new cards, and new players are at less of a disadvantage due to card pool. (I am not in area, but am interested ...

Re: 3 Versions of RP for Regional Consideration!

I prefer the first one. Looks easy to play. Have you playtested Medical Breakthrough? Probably Braintrust, NAPD, Fetal, Philotic. I would be tempted by a single Fast Track to make the Philotic consistent and drive the runner to take bigger risks to try and hit it. I would consider Guard over Rototur...

Re: Regionals @ Firestorm Games - May 2014

Looking at the new tournament rules, a regional is a premier event that uses championship play and cut to top 8 or 16. With a 5 round swiss that is at least 8 rounds equivalent plus short break for lunch. approx 10 hours. So a 21:00 finish time is looking likely. Just wondering because the last trai...

Re: Chronos Protocol (Cardiff) Winning Deck Lists

I suspect it is possible using statistics, simple maths and logic to formally analyse the difference. The idea started when I did a the stats for agenda card draws over N cards with different agenda types and some deductive reasoning. I should be able to extend and further formalise it. Will let you...

Hmm, Feint combos well with Unregistered S&W to go clean out the hornets nest. If it is an Asset that also counts as an agenda you just put it in archives for later retrieval.

Shi Kyu ... WTF And if you take the net damage and trash it, or trash it from R&D, then you put it in archives and you may have to access it again. Charge up your datasucker, etc. I suspect just taking the -1 agenda point will be standard operating procedure. Though I am beginning to think it m...

Re: The Spin Cycle Awards!

In my n00bishness I made Paintbrush the central pillar of a novelty Shaper deck, but after 4 losses and just the 1 win its value as a support card as part of a greater Shaper ICE unlocking deck is clear. Paintbush has lovely art, digging the Skittles-style burst of colour on the table. The Chronos ...
