Re: August GNK

Yes, indeed there is. Usual deck building restrictions, MWL etc. No ID restrictions. But be creative in deck choices!

Re: Return to Netrunner

Hello there! Sadly the community has largely drifted away from these forums, although there is a bustling UK community on the Stimhack Slack now, including many Reading/Oxford faces. If you're unaware, Slack is a chat app, much like the IRC of old. If you'd like to sign up, you can grab an invite by...

Re: Upcoming

Yeah, there is indeed. I've got lazy and stopped posting about tourneys, but first saturday of every month is correct. All are welcome, although the Leisure Games SC may lure many away.

Re: The Gauntlet

Doh! Huh, the event starts at 11am. #whoknew? Clearly not me, thanks Dave. I got my erroneous info about the 9am start from the official Thirsty Meeples page. 10am for brekkie in The Art Cafe then? It'll be proper mobbed by that time though. I'm not a huge fan of eating my Full Englis...

OK, think we're good with 10 unless some more Bristolians appear. Will leave booking as-is for now.

Re: Let's Attend Some Store Championships

Cool. Will book for 10 people at 9.30 so we have 2 "tech slots", likely taken by Daves S and E. Can amend booking if we need to, just pipe up in here.

Re: Let's Attend Some Store Championships

So I'm booking for:
- myself

- Joey (with or without girlfriend this time? :P)
- Andy (+ how many?)
- Dave? Other Dave?

Anyone else?

Down with the Bell being awarded post-Swiss by the way. Will do this on Saturday.

Re: The Bell

Yeah, BABW Reading had it, but there was a lot more representation from all factions there, not least because the final was Oxford-Reading, but also because there were more people attending that day (presumably because being in the middle, Reading is more convenient for all concerned)

Re: Discworld Mafia - Game Over! The City and sixtyten win!

Yeah, think you hit the nail on the head. Given the setting, everyone was able to come forward with major characters, but mafia had to be careful for fear of conflicting or claiming roles they couldn't subsequently prove. Not sure what I would have claimed as a Godfather for instance; vanilla would ...

Re: Discworld Mafia - Game Over! The City and sixtyten win!

Yay! Well played city. Glad the filthy Godfather was caught too. Seemed very smooth in the end, although it seemed like there was a lot of confusion at the start.

Let's say 9.30. It's 30 seconds walk from Eclectic, just the other side of Broad Street.

Re: Weekly Casual Meetup

I won't be around tonight either, lacking my decks and having had no time to build new ones. I will be making the pilgrimage to Reading tomorrow evening to claim by decks and hopefully play some Netrunner, if anyone fancies coming along. Not sure I'll be able to make tomorrow night to reunite you w...

Re: Let's Attend Some Store Championships

The Reading SC is less than a week away. I still haven't built any decks, let alone played them. :? The #superimportant matter of which establishment will be hosting us for breakfast hasn't yet been decided. Any suggestions from the Reading crew? I quite liked Bills: the nosh was good and it is con...

Strong showing from Redoxshot, with Cortex Face, The Merc, T-Swift lover and myself making the cut. Brenlactus and The Scorchmaster finished within SoS distance of the cut. Well, this is awkward. I thought Etherington was The Scorchmaster. Er... who is this Scorchmaster then? :? Iain Reid I ...

Re: Kala Ghouda Full Spoiler

Surely Run Amok doesn't get you INTO a server, so its comparison with Blackmail feels odd to me. Am I just missing the full ramifications? Is it the assumption that a corp won't rez the card because it'll be a cost that is completely gone? I guess the assumption is that it either becomes a Blackmai...
