Re: Weekly Casual Meetup

Agreed Brendan, and finding 2 deck slots in that deck would not be easy. The only thing to give up I can see is really either tag punishment or money to land the tags. Neither of which seems like a winning proposition just for a silver bullet. Maybe go for Sea Source instead to land the tag and then...

Re: Weekly Casual Meetup

I pushed the king of Fastrobiotics, Mr Tim Fowler, to the very limit in my game versus him on Sunday using *that* Whizzard deck, a deck I've played 15 times tops. He won in the end but it was incredibly tight and the difference was not being able to break a quandary over R&D for 4 turns I think....

Re: Weekly Casual Meetup

See you tonight guys. Still tweaking my Whizzard deck but I suspect I'm just simply making it worse now. Still got to try things right? Guy, I believe Sam has offered me a lift to Northampton but since he's swinging by Banbury I'll have a chat with Sam and see what's what, I suspect we can still mak...

Re: Nationals 2016

They did say that was due to venue limitations last year didn't they? I believe they said once they moved the venue there would be no problem this year!

Yep, me the same mate, just waiting for the key and install it only to not play it :(

Re: Weekly Casual Meetup

Yep, agreed Brendan, hence why I usually have to choose 1 route or the other... I'm usually trying to get an Efficiency Committee scored first which means I need to install it and then BL first turn, or double biotic which costs a ton of cash without the shipments.. Edit: Here's the source and inspi...

Re: Weekly Casual Meetup

I usually lose by having a lot of agenda's in HQ, which they dig into when they can't find them in R&D. It's not unusual for me to hold 4 agenda's in HQ with (let's say) 1 scored each that only leaves 3 in R&D... The deck has plenty of money to land a SS, SE, SE and (used to) just recur the ...

Re: Weekly Casual Meetup

Here's the HB deck I've got to at the moment, I've tinkered with the agenda suite to include GFI over Pri-Req, so that and JH suck up the inf. from losing the scorch. My suspicion is this helps me not lose at the expense of winning, and I don't know how good a tradeoff that is.. Indistinguishable Fr...

Re: Weekly Casual Meetup

Indeed Kit and Sol. Kit can do well, but against any sort of deck that requires regular asset trashing she just doesn't generate enough real money quickly enough, early enough to stop the Corp from being able to money up. Against NEH or Foodcoats or RP that's not a great thing. It does great work ag...

Re: Weekly Casual Meetup

Totally agree Brendan, and I've been "that guy" too often to take offence at the moaning. I was taken aback at the swearing a first because I thought he was going to say I had tried to hide my Kati money or not been explicit enough or something about clicking to put the money on. Something...

Re: Weekly Casual Meetup

Ah, no he was competent, just a bit of an arse. It took a while for his Noise deck to beat my Sol deck whereupon he immediately disappeared to the loo costing me 10 minutes in the rematch and leaving me with around 15 mins to beat him. He puts a wraparound on R&D and I run it 4 times in turn two...

Re: Weekly Casual Meetup

Sorry guys, not tonight...work calls, which is a shame.

I came 13 out of 18, Phil did much better having had Brendan in his ear apparently :)

I did encounter my first less than stellar opponent in my last round though...I'm sure it was co-incidental he had a MtG playmat :)
