Re: Twilight Jesminder

There's literally 4 cards for runners that work with her: Account Siphon, Code Siphon, Security Nexus and Vamp. Of these, 3 are out of faction and the other is terrible. The main playables for her are Siphon, Vamp, Code Siphon, and Maya. Even if Nexus was particularly playable, you'd have to pay 8c...

Re: The MWL is coming! (Fastrobiotics)

Doesn't look too far from my attempt. Team could also be GLC or Rototurret. I've been a big fan of Turnpike in the past and it has only gotten better now that Kate has put down her Prepaids for ProCos and Kati is big again. I tried a more taggy approach with QPM/News Team but it was as bad as I expe...

Re: More Salt Please, The "Sky Is Falling" NAPD Most Wanted List thread

There is a lot of sky is falling and salt, people need to see how things unfold. Some if the reactions I'm seeing in other places online are crazy. I hate these changes because I don't think functional errata is good for the game. I want to see the game thrive, and these changes are going to hinder...

Re: Cheevs :: 2016

My 2016 achievements: A lot of these (either separately or together) may sound very unrealistic or even arrogant, but I'm aiming high. They are, without exception, my real goals for this year and even if they are a very high bar to set myself, I'm going to strive to do as well as I can to reach each...

Re: Andy - Please don't play sweepsweek

My own possibly harebrained thought on seeing this list is that Fisk Investment Seminar would fit well with the game plan. It accelerates milling both by getting stuff out of R&D and also by drawing you stuff cheaply and quickly. The problem with FIS is that it accelerates the Corp by giving th...

Re: There is no jackson.

It's also worth pointing out that we don't know what sort of 'replacement' there'll be in the future. I doubt we're getting Jackson or a reskinned Jackson back (though Dan said he'd make something similar), but planning for a world without Jackson is different to planning for a world with a differen...

Re: Edinburgh InterCity Tourney :: Official Banter

No Birmingham? For me, at least (and what I've gathered from talking to fellow Brummies) the format is a bit unappealing to travel to Edinburgh for. Alex sent a message to Seamus a few months ago asking if the format could be changed to that of the KoS format, but sadly to no avail. Though I enjoye...

Re: Big congratulations to all of team UK for such a great world's performance!

Side note: I wish FFG would make some effort to make live scorecards/swiss info/elimination brackets available during this kind of event. Cheers to whoever it was (a Reading person?) who set up the page with the elimination brackets on. I could at least half keep track of what was happening then. H...

The DLR Val deck being so strong/annoying/what ever you want to call it is not a change I'm a fan of however, I'm not sure if a meta where DLR Val is king/strong is a meta I want particularly with store champs just around the corner! Have to admit I'm currently considering some form of yellow corp ...

Re: NeoReading Grid casts

It is very true that it's hard to quantify how many games you win from having a 5/3, though easier to see games you'd have lost (though if it's stolen, sometimes you may have lost anyway).

I agree that 8 agendas is almost definitely be the way forward with GFI.

Re: NeoReading Grid casts

The Ash feels like a mistake, but as you say, we don't know what the ice was. On the other hand, playing out ice you never rez is a mistake too. Hades Shard, yeah. I still think that's loses perfectly winnable games. That one was very winnable for Xenasis, despite the awkward position he was in aft...

Re: NEH - WTF is she doing there?

I'd swap the Excalibur for an Interns. Interns seems like it'd do a lot of work in this deck.

As far as the Crisium Grid slot goes, you could swap it and Lotus for the third Architect, but I'm not sure.

There are a few things I'd like to add to the discussion about judging: ⋅  I think the point really that minimising the "feel bad" is the best way to approach Netrunner judging. Finding the right balance of not giving people DQs/Game Losses because they made a mistake but also ke...

Surprised Street Peddler hasn't been mentioned yet! I foresee her being a 3-of in basically every Anarch deck that isn't MaxX, and may be splashed in some Shaper/Criminal kits. Peddler boosts Noise substantially, with the other Anarchs, including Valencia, Whizzard and Reina getting considerable boo...

This was the deck he came third at the SSCI with: http://www.acoo.net/deck/9654/stimhack- ... architect/

I'm sure it has changed since then, but I can't seem to easily find his latest list. I know it has at least one Tollbooth in it for sure though.

Hate - special snowflake tendencies/dominant (especially corp) decks This is complicated- I hate that I want to build something original because it means that my decks don't work as well as they could. But I also hate that 5/6 of the top 10 corp decks often seem very similar and I don't want to con...

Hmm didn't notice that, always assumed it was male due to the Apex predator reference. Unless this is a pop culture reference I'm not getting, I still don't understand why this would make it male. As an example off the top of my head, lionesses are the ones that do the hunting, the males generally ...

As much as I hate to be "that guy", Apex is genderless. FFG refer to Apex as "it" in their spoiler, and one shouldn't assume Apex is male or female either way.

Re: Can we talk about how good street peddler is?

This card is bananas, and probably the best Runner card I've seen all cycle. Noise gets a massive boost, and it's even highly playable in Kate and other Shapers. To be honest, I think every Anarch deck but MaxX is probably going to want to slot three of these. It's an added bonus to me that it's suc...

Would you be able to expand on the comment about "best decks?" - as in, from your perspective is there a definitive single deck given the current card pool (and this applies to whatever the card pool is) that is quantatively the best? Im guessing your meaning 0 bad matchups? To me, the be...
