Hi Sam
This forum is very quiet these days. Have you tried the groups on Facebook?
Xenasis, vinegarymink, echo are probably the cornerstones of Birmingham netrunner.
If you DM me I can point you in the right direction.
Good luck!

Store Champs Breakfast?
Hey folk. I'm down for the SC on Saturday. It would be grand to meet up beforehand and share breakfast. Have missed my occasional evenings at TM. Can someone local make a recommendation?

I'll be really surprised if one of those Harbinger isn't better off being a Mimic. You also don't have Stimhack. People should have Stimhack.
I'm off
Hey folk, I've got a new job in the New Year in London. So I probably will be about even less than I have been recently. I'm gutted I haven't been able to get to a meet up over the last few weeks to say goodbye properly. It's not really goodbye though, because I'm still playing and I'm sure I'll see...

Team Sponsorship isn't win more. It works similarly to Oaktown Rennovation. Instead of setting you back in tempo, you are accelerated by scoring an agenda.

I thought FIS would be better than it is. But if you're all in on denial I think it's worth a look. I'm trying a Lamprey Gabe list, it has problems (it's not nearly as good as the same idea in Reina at the moment), but FIS is definitely a playable card in that list. If you're running Faust, situatio...

I'm surprised by interfaces being preferred to events. It seems quite a lot of work to run every turn, so bigger digs less frequently seems natural.

Sorry. Darwin *is* fun. If the deck doesn't work and is frustrating. Try changing Darwin before changing anything else.

Look at how often this deck Levys. I don't think it's much. I think Career Fair probably goes nicely in that slot.

Re: My first runner deck (mistakes were made)
Darwin isn't a card. But if you insist, I think you want to play Surge to prevent the Corp from locking you out with a purge. I actually think fester doesn't do a huge amount because you're on a siphon spam plan and therefore will have tags. Looks like a good 'for fun' deck. Darwin is a card that pl...

I found it fine. You have ABR for early game and a boatload of draw. I think the SMC should be the Test Run that Timmy Wong's Worlds deck used.

Re: My first runner deck (mistakes were made)
You only have 5 viruses. So Noise doesn't seem to be the best choice of ID. I would guess the best ID for this deck is Reina Roja. It also doesn't look to dissimilar to some MaxX decks that are popular at the moment. Liberated Account is really good (if somewhat inflexible due to its install cost). ...

Mendax, Have you ever been known to play a Yellow corp deck?
I doubt very much that this is a Study Guide deck. I'm basically of the opinion that Nasir can have Study Guide, but nobody else should. I think I'd choose Zu.13 and use Atman as a primary decoder.
Cool deck

I think there is no real outline for what happens in a mentoring session. But the idea is simply the student wants to improve their game and the mentor is willing to help. In the session I had yesterday evening, we played a couple of games on Jinteki.net with slightly more openness about what we had...

So yesterday I came across a dilemma. If you steal a Quantum Predictive Kitty and then use your mad gamer DJing skills to swap it with an Astroscript Pilot Program do you Choo! Choo! or Meow? I think that particular play (which my student made against Net Celeb Calimsha when I was mentoring yesterda...

I'm probably coming to this on Saturday. Be good to see some friendly faces. I'm struggling a bit choosing my runner ID. I think D&D might have made my Geist a little fragile. I'm nervous about all the scary NBN ICE and Foodcoats. The Adam list I posted here is miles from tier 1, but I might pla...

Re: Tier* 1 Sage Adam
ABR becomes a liability eventually. I don't massively rate Independent thinking. There aren't that many alternative cards that don't cost influence. You're right to question its inclusion. It does draw a lot of cards. I'm thinking about 1 ABR in deck so that I can turn it off for a bit, then put it ...
