Re: NBN Econ Denial

Pop up is the best advert there is. I also like the thing that can bring ads back and the agenda that makes everything an advert, but unsure if that's needed as you've gone knee deep in GFI.

Re: Chronos Protocol....an HB ID on Jinteki.net?!

What martin said. There is also a shaper counterpart to fisk. The collective

Problem with the HB one is it's win more and random. Brain damage is already debilitating enough and permadeleting something useful can be a crap shot, where as the jinteki one opened up a whole new control playstyle.

Re: Rulings thread

Tyr's hand has rules text that lets you rez it whenever.

"If the runner is about to break a subroutine on a peice of bioriod ice, you may rez tyr's hand"

Re: Rulings thread

You have to rez it on approach, there is no rez window in encounter and after subs start resolving theres no window until you've passed the ICE.

That does mean if they think you're going to merry go round them they'll end the run by not breaking archers ETR sub, but hey that's good too right?

Re: World of Darkness Mafia Day 1

Day 1 will always be a crap shot, sadly. (yet it is always better to lynch), I tried to avoid the random vote step by starting random questions but /shrug. I'm going to hold off voting until now, as other than player skill I don't have a read on anyone. What Johno did with the witchhunt joke could b...

Re: Tokyo Teddy Bear - HB NEXT with Teeth

4 cards is a lot for noise, especially when they have to go through it twice with Ash, even if they have wild pancakes they'll only start with 7 in hand, and asset based econ can bait runs because who advances 3/2s? Turing almost went in but it doesn't really do anything on a central, where as toll ...

Re: A host of problems

Before under the old ruling, you could install agendas on glenn and on film critic as they could host them (and thus golden rule meant shennaigans) Now that loop hole is tied up, you can only host cards in glenn and film critic with their own abilities, same for any other card that has an ability th...

Re: Tokyo Teddy Bear - HB NEXT with Teeth

Not played noise with it yet, but played vs a very similar whizard deck to mine that sported parasites and clone chips. As long as you don't expect to rush agendas out behind 1 next ice it's fine. You only really need 1 other next rezzed with gold-batty to take out 4 cards, and if they don't have a ...

Re: A host of problems

He quickly issued a new ruling

"If a card has an ability that hosts cards on it, only cards with that ability can be hosted on it"

I will refer to this as the linked ability rule from now on.

Re: World of Darkness Mafia Day 1

If you have 5 cards in your hand, wouldn't one of them be the gift you just played?

Anyway I know nothing of WoD setting, like nada, nista, nota. So I won't be enjoying/ joining in any of the flavor of this game sadly.

Re: World of Darkness Mafia Day 1

I'd like to ask everyone some questions as it's day 1. 1. What is your experience with mafia type games 2. How often were you on the winning team 3. How many cards in your hand. In fairness I'll answer my own questions 1. I have a fair amount of experience, I watched games at a now defunt magic foru...

The real question is why would you strike medtech anyway? They still win if they score and you don't if you steal now.

Unless it was to get rid of their current....hmm the clot thickens..

As an umbrella case "Can't" always beats "Can" or "must" or "may". Some examples: I play offer you can not refuse and you chose to run, through an excalibur. I play a 2nd offer, you can not choose to run due to Excalibur's legacy. You must give me the point. Y...

Re: I Have No Mouth, And I Must Scream

That's true, it probably should have TME in it (25 inf really is not much). That said I can't think of a single ICE that you can't get through easily with endless vs astro-biotics (well maybe architect...does NEH even run that card anymore?). I'm also wondering if chop is worth it, sure it turns ape...

I'm doing alright (read: well) with a hybrid rush deck. Hybrid in that it cleans up with some FA and punishes agressive runners/faust with SE.

@Joey: Oh and quoting directly from a PM should be against the rules, I didn't explicitly put it on page 1 cause I'm used to playing with more experienced players, you can paraphrase the PM, but you can't quote from it directly. I missed it else I would of warned you. (Also I should of added it to t...
