Re: Saturday Morning Netrunner

Mrs has planned a family outing in protest to my many hours at University this week. Planning on running some midweek stuff though. Hopefully once the Christmas period is sorted, life will be a little easier :P

The Current Meta (Runner)

Site article: http://netrunners.co.uk/articles/the-current-meta-runner.html Dave H has kindly provided us with an insight into the current Runner meta on the link above. Anyone finding they're struggling against a runner deck not in the two above? Does Andy make you want to rent your clothes and rub...

[Worcester] Manaleak 14/12/13

Just to give you guys advance notice that I won't be able to attend the upcoming tournament in Worcester. Figured that I should give you time to make any travel arrangements you need too.

Sending Dave up with my camera and tripod though so I can still youtube it up later ;)

Re: Spoilers from Pluggedin

Yeah sorry, edited!

It is combo heavy undeniably, but at the core, it's only a 2 card combo (Off the Grid and Caprice), both of which are still useful with the ID if you don't pull the other one. Definitely going to tinker around with it anyway.

Re: Spoilers from Pluggedin

My current deck idea for the future is a Caprice Nisei/Off the Grid/sundew combo in the RP ID. Potentially could shut runners out of remotes completely while earning 2c per turn, maybe also finding room for some Ruhr Valley's on the other centrals (might be too heavy on influence though). I'm dreami...

Second Thoughts Review

Site article: http://netrunners.co.uk/articles/second ... eview.html

Dave H and I have broken down our ratings for the new set but what do you think?

What would you have rated differently, what card will be a stand out card in the future, did we rag on your most favourite card of all time?

Re: [Deck] HB Always Advance

Useful thoughts, thanks chaps. Will have a look at the trap breakdown and I may look at ash as well. Would like to fit 2-3 jacksons in but I'm not quite sure how, may have to drop 1 tollbooth. Tricky one.

Re: Wednesday Night Netrunner

Will finally have my essays done on tuesday so it's guilt free netrunner time!

So probably going to offer to host at mine this week, have room for 3 more little ones on Wednesday, probably starting around 8pm (so I have time to stick the kids in bed).

Anyone about on Wednesday?

Certainly planning on attending the nearest one, excited for a big event, maybe some nice loot to boot! I I reckon an alt art noise is a good shout. Alt art desperado would be nice... ;)

Re: The Current Meta (Corp)

With a decoy in there, I'd probably go for 2 plascretes and add another copy of desperado. Other than that, looks very solid.

Registrations

Due to spam bots getting through the registration process, registering will now ask the following question; which anarch identity is the first card in the netrunner core set? (Clue: N _ _ _ _ hacker extraordinaire). If anyone trying to register is struggling with the answer, email, me at chimpster@n...

Re: Second Thoughts

Anyone else interested in providing some first thoughts on second thoughts? Melange Dave has already provided me with his reviews, I plan to knock up mine as soon as the essay is done so if you're interested, let me know. Want to post the review up around Wednesday at the latest.

Re: Saturday Morning Netrunner

Yep, I shall be there tomorrow. Currently writing essays at uni (living the Friday night dream) so I could do with the break. Probably be going straight back in after Netrunner, boo. Haven't had a chance to rejig my decks since I picked up Second Thoughts but my current HB deck is immense fun to pla...

Fair enough, I suppose I'm the same in taking that information for granted too. Regardless, reddit seemed to have almost unanimous approval of the article (with the exception of one nob who got promptly downvoted), visitor stats are encouraging so more content ftw ;)

Re: The Current Meta (Corp)

Personally, I'm a big fan of the level it's pitched at - turning average players into good players - and I believe that's the biggest slice of netrunner fans out there. Anyone committed enough to the game to be on a site dedicated to it has to have a somewhat decent understanding of the mechanics an...

Re: Second Thoughts

Yeah I don't think braintrust is the one to swap. It's a tough one tbh, probably the two gila hands in mine, not sure I'd run 3 clone retirements. Would seriously think about restructure though, again, probably not x3 in jinteki but it would be awesome after celebrity gift or melange. Still, good ne...

Re: The Current Meta (Corp)

First off, welcome to the forums Dave (taking our Dave count upto 4 for those of you keeping score :)), Aye, I remember hearing a similar piece of advice; always use cards before you use resources or hardware. I agree that grndl will be a powerhouse, especially if weyland get a reliable way to remov...

Re: Second Thoughts

Incidentally, I'm hoping to get an article up reviewing the second thoughts data pack and I'm hoping to follow the same format as cardgamesdb. If you'd like to be one of the review pundits, start thinking about a short blurb for each card with a rating (do you think we should stick with 0-5 rating?)...

Re: Wednesday Night Netrunner

No problem. Next one I can attend will be the 18th of Dec (I think). Obviously the following week is Christmas and the following one after that is New Years day so I imagine those will be no go's for everyone :) Jan onwards should be cool apart from the 15th when I'm on holiday. Probably more detail...
