Re: Hijinks at Hogwarts - Charms

As I said in my post before the end of the last class, I'm frustrated that Cenedra didn't reveal her suspicions before being silenced. I was fairly happy with maxey and cenedra as they were able to back each other up and unless they are the scum faction, I'm happy to give them a break. Apologies to...

Re: Hijinks at Hogwarts - Charms

Just going to come out and say that I am absolutely, definitely not the Dentist this time (or have a dentist power). 100% true! Now that that is out of the way, it does indeed look like the protector has emerged triumphant, so it seems important for Joey to tell us who he protected last night. Not g...

Re: Hijinks at Hogwarts - Divination

I've put a name forward and made my case for it. I seem to be one of the few actually trying to contribute to this positively at the moment and it's getting frustrating! If you're not happy with a vote suggestion, then make one of your own and make a case for it, otherwise we're never going to push ...

Re: Hijinks at Hogwarts - Divination

ok, I'm going to be a little more direct here. Every game has people who are vanilla. No surprises there. But focussing on people who claim to be vanilla just because that somehow makes them better targets - compared to looking at the actual content of contribution seems to be mildly nuts. Of cours...

Re: Hijinks at Hogwarts - Divination

Completely agreed, they've backed each other up and I think it would be an incredibly bold move for mafia players to do that.

Keeping my vote where it is, I think we stand to gain the most information with the lowest possible risk.

Sorry tolaasin! :(

Re: Hijinks at Hogwarts - Divination

At the very least, he's contributing positively atm, I don't think hitting our doctor is worth the risk at this stage. I'm going to suggest a vote for tolaasin atm for a couple of reasons. 1) Zero contribution this lesson and minimal contribution last lesson. 2) I'm not convinced on the vanilla role...

Re: Cheevs :: 2016

Haven't quite been able to nail mine down this year but that's largely down to not being able to hit many events (or get much practice in for that matter!). Really happy with my record so far this year though, made the cut on 1/2 store champs and managed to scrape 16th in the expo super regional. Wo...

There's quite a few MIA at the moment which is making it next to impossible to make progress.

Re: Hijinks at Hogwarts - Divination

well i dont think that fact is clear. Either there are non gryf scum, in which case late claims are suspicious. If it is the case that everyone has a gryf character but is infact not on the gryf side. Then I believe we have nothing and doesn't matter when people claimed their name.... I would be in...

Re: Hijinks at Hogwarts - Divination

Why would late claims be suspicious if the scum have a Gryffindor name to use as we suspect they might.

If anything, I'm more suspicious of those who claimed early!

Re: Hijinks at Hogwarts - History of Magic

Yeah, I think we screwed up day 1 pretty badly to be honest but at least now we know more with what we're dealing with. Nem doesn't do superfluous text in his descriptions so I think it's safe to say that Gryfindor is involved with the cursing somehow. This means that our character revealing may hav...

Re: Expo Regional

Great games yesterday and really pleased with a Top16 finish!

Was surprised at how much Jinteki there was yesterday, especially Palana, definitely well represented!

Well done to the top 8, great achievement to do so well at such a huge event!

Re: Expo Regional

Always going to be an element of that with it being deck of the week on NRDB. Expecting more Palana than usual, if only because it's got a more sensible Whizzard matchup and will do well against the resurgence of Crims (even with Po-op). Expecting a large swathe of yellow of all varieties (including...

Expo Regional

Really excited to be able to attend this one (especially as I didn't think I would be able to wrangle a Friday - half term to the rescue)! I'm assuming you're pretty much all going given that the event looks like it'll be over 150 people. What do you expect to see a lot of? What super secret decks a...

Re: Hijinks at Hogwarts - History of Magic

I still worry that not hexing is a missed opportunity. Not lynching day 1 means that we have the same information to go on day 2 as we do today. That being said, this game doesn't seem to be standard at this stage so I'm happy to follow Joey's lead today and see what happens in between classes. Vote...

Re: Hijinks at Hogwarts - History of Magic

Surprised how quickly that Mendax train has got going. Never opposed to a good ole fashioned 'lynch Rob day 1' train though I do find the reasons given a little bit odd. Voting for Spring is not suspicious behaviour in my book, he's still the only player to give us a good reason to lynch him (and gi...

Re: Hijinks at Hogwarts - History of Magic

Looking at it entirely objectively, spring still seems the logic place for a lynch here day 1. He's been caught out lying still at the end of the day. He's claimed Harry, sure, but in a regular game where names had no significance, would anyone here take him entirely at face value? I don't know, som...
