Re: Weekly Casual Meetup

Do you know what time it would be done? I have an evening engagement tomorrow. Also, what decks would you be taking Chewie, theoretically I might be on the scrounge for cards I could borrow to stay on my training schedule. Be more than happy to lend back if there is anything in my library that may ...

Re: Because We Built It - Part 1: Clicks and Clots

Don't want to dominate the thread but do want to pop in and say thanks to Mendax, MasterAir & Cerberus for the advice on here. I am enjoying learning the Leela deck in particular and am looking forward to playing it against more glacier. I think I need to learn, in both my runner and corp play, ...

Re: Data Pack: The Underway - discussion

Gang Sign is going to at least be trialled in my Laramy Fisk when I start developing that deck; Laramy is all about making HQ just sodden with agendas so Gang Sign, coupled even with one HQ Interface, could be a real problem for the corp.

My experiences of tournamounts: Watching your friend on top table and it seems like this: http://img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20140728162848/harrypotter/images/e/ea/Duel_in_ministry.gif Returning to bottom table & it feels like this: http://media.giphy.com/media/6HFUDKwlWcAbC/giphy.gif

Re: Because We Built It - Part 1: Clicks and Clots

Against Noise, you probably want to be defending R&D more than HQ, which it sounds like you weren't doing. I did defend it a bit, but my first choice (Tollbooth) I couldn't get the money to rez soon, then the Viper got Yogged, and then the Architect just got walked through eventually. I think I...

What time do you usually do your Tuesday nights? I might be very tempted to come to this and bring an Oxford invasion etc.

Re: Because We Built It - Part 1: Clicks and Clots

As per instruction I took the proper decks to my regular Oxford night last night and had some decent games. HB:ETF vs Kit (Sincil Banks) This game demonstrated some of this decks real strengths in terms of economic dominance. The ability to just rez Eves and Ashes for free, whilst getting an almost ...

Re: Weekly Casual Meetup

Cracking night all round I think; it even made me just about able to deal with Pete not being there. (If you're reading this I hope you're running is going well dude!) vs. Sincil Banks I was pleased to play a fellow tournamount, shall we say "low tabler" and a decent egg to boot. HB:ETF vs...

Re: Netrunner - gif/reaction thread

...the sometime posters in the Oxford board... I have no idea who you might mean... I only have one that I have used before and is more generally Netrunner rather than sass thrown at Pete. Looking at a 3 advanced card in a Weyland server - knowing it is a Government Takeover - probably with the Pun...

Is that going to kill that economic engine stone dead? Or is it worth sticking with it and bringing along some support; Fall Guy, Decoy or similar?

Re: Weekly Casual Meetup

I, alas, cannot be there. I am, in no way, building my sad shrine to the leaving of Pete (for summer) and Chris (for London). You can't prove anything. My cover story is that my company has decided that tonight we are all going to have fun and have dinner. I am intrigued by teflon theory; I wonder i...

Re: Weekly Casual Meetup

On behalf of the 3 who didn't play in the draft we'd love to hear from other people about what they were playing; there are 2 interesting reports in the other thread. Over on the kiddie's table me, Pete and Tom played some good ol' fashion' regular games. It was also Pete's last night til autumn, so...

Re: Because We Built It - Part 1: Clicks and Clots

Forgive me oh Coopmaster for I hath sinned! But its not my fault! I was meant to be going to a draft tournament with the Oxford chaps and so I needed some sleeves. I therefore unsleeved my corp decks but still took down my Weyland deck because it is quick and there was a chance of playing before/aft...

I came near last in that tournament and I think it is worth stressing that I also believe luck plays a smaller part in this game than you are giving it credit for.

Re: Weekly Casual Meetup

Good post there Guy, lovely imagery. Pete's Leela(?) vs Alex Noonan's HB: I feel like this game happened, though I can't remember any of it. Pete? Any memories? We didn't play this match :) http://s11.postimg.org/k79p09ktv/your_move_hendrix.png -- "Your move Hendrix." That'll be why I don...

Re: Because We Built It - Part 1: Clicks and Clots

In the spirit of HalfDayDeemo's contribution I will offer the following. I took the Leela deck and by goodness it is just lovely. There are things in there that I love - Sneakdoor, 3 Siphons, 3 Dirty Laundries, Kati Jones is fantastic, and the Baby of Efficiency is a really good slow boost. I feel l...

I look forward to playing Pete with the GRINDL, I think he will like it. Tonight we continue our duel. I plan to whip you like a Bedouin caravan master with a fetish for dromedaries whips his camels: savagely, and with pleasure. http://www.heliograph.com/trmgs/trmgs2/camel.GIF THIS CAMEL HAS A GUN ...

I need to hike over to Vision Express for a bit after 5, so I'll probably be there (with sweet specs) from around half past. It's available. 2 - Edward Kim learns to love. Does the deck contain Femme Fatale? Woman in the Red Dress, AI Breakers & the Helpful AI. There are a couple of human connections in there who act as the best friend to help him realise that he doesn't hate the AI, he loves the AI. (I know really he hates Bioroids...

Re: Weekly Casual Meetup

I shall be there as a double headed Janus. My first face will be a netdecking "trying to learn about the game" face where I shall be playing two well done decks from two top players as part of my new education in the game to try and make me, y'know, not suck as much. My second face will be...

Private Cliquil reporting for duty! (blah blah blah I was one of the worst players there, trampoline based humou...

Re: The Road to Nationals 2015

I think I speak for a lot of people that playing against a deck that doesn't allow you to play netrunner (ITD, Headlock) doesn't make for a fun game on the opposite side of the table. One could easily argue Astrobiotics, RP and even Kate are all decks that crucially deny or or minimise aspects of t...

I think Little Engine is solid if there's lots of Yog around. Sure CyCy laughs at you, but otherwise Gblade costs 2, Zu costs 3. Not shabby. And good luck parasiting the bastard. Parasite might actually be really good against it I think, assuming Net Ready Yog. Unless you have at least 3 creds wort...
