Re: Quinn's UK Inter-City Friendly :: Le Oxford Massive

I believe I played Chris last Monday - sorry I am notoriously rubbish with names - and he beat me twice. I'd be happy for those games to count "against" me.

Re: Weekly Casual Meetup

You may have missed me last week. I came in just long enough to realise that no breakfast or lunch and a hectic day at work did not leave me adequately prepared to run all the nets. I played a few rounds, lost badly, and went home to have a slap up meal and a sleep. I think this is because I chose t...

http://www.dailywordofgodgroup.com/images/how-to-resist-temptation.jpg Angel: Come on Guy, you just got munched at a tournamount because you played a mad deck. Just take a simple deck, full of good runner cards that aims to win in the normal way. You can do it. Devil: I'm not saying don't play Chao...

Re: Quinn's UK Inter-City Friendly :: Le Oxford Massive

From what I understand of the situation it seems the fairest thing to do - Reading can't be blamed for not having a badass Pete to sign them up quickly. That would just be to compound their misfortune

I'd also add that I suspect a lot of people aren't constantly thinking about their ice placement in terms of stopping snowball or battering ram, so you can sometimes take advantage of the sustained strength. Additional fun with Escher of course, though I leave it to my betters to pull off. Personall...

In addition I just saw this, an inter city tournament being planned. I will not be in Reading by the point it is on so won't be legible but it may be of interest to you guys? I don't live in Reading but if there's a chance I could try out for a place on The NeoReading Grid team that'd be most excel...

Well, this is awkward. Pete, I love your enthusiasm but... you're not good enough to be on The Oxford Massive team. If you lived in Reading you'd be a shoe-in for their team, but well, standards are higher up here old chap. You don't even have a playmat. http://i0.kym-cdn.com/entries/icons/medium/0...

I didn't hear you cursing when you double Account Siphon'd me. I stand by my statement that it is a pain in the backside - I just don't mind when it is someone else's backside :P Lesson 9: We already knew Pete was the toppest of...

They say that it is best to either win or learn. A lotta learnin' that day! :P Lesson 1: RP can be beaten if you get lucky early and they can't get their superfriends thing going. Lesson 2: Yes you can have 6 ice on a single server if you want to. Lesson 3: Ollie is a top bannana. Break Lesson 4: Ac...

I presume it is the play of scoring He3 and putting the power counters onto the Atman. I'm not sure it is exactly optimal, but it is hilarious.

Re: Weekly Casual Meetup

I'm hoping I can win one game then due to a series of ludicrous accidents, and a bye, that I manage to come away with an alt art card of some kind. It isn't a bold plan, but it plays to my strengths. Guy, by my recollection you came 3rd at the last tournament; maybe 4th. Funnily enough - both of th...

I'll get it fixed at some point tonight cause now there are two errors. I am tempted to do an entire range of abhorrent ice that are fusions of two other pieces of ice. And then print them and try to play them one time at a casual night and watch them tumble to pieces like the abhorrent forms of nat...

Chimera as Cutlery Guard

Is Chimera a useful addition to a deck as a potential guard against someone throwing cutlery at a key piece of ice? Only if you were going to use Chimera for other things of course, just a thought - or is it far too specific a use to really justify its position in the deck? I mainly ask because it i...
