Can you make an event on the Facebook group Sam. I can't make it this week, I have an interview in London on Thursday.

Re: OCTGN Lulz

Near rage quit moment for me this lunchtime. Playing against my nemesis Leela Patel as HB. First turn after mull. Have one agenda in hand and am playing criminal so don't really want to leave HQ open. Install Tollbooth on HQ, Install Eve, Hedgefund. Leelas first turn. Drive By murdering my sexy robo...

Sad I couldn't make it. Sounds like a good time.

Re: NEXT Glacier

I think the ice in this deck is maybe not heavy enough to support melange. There seems to be a disconnect between your ice and your long term plan. I can't support no elis. Eli remains one of the best ice in the game.

Re: NEXT Glacier

I think against Kate forcing a parasite on silver costs her more than it seems. It's not as bad a trade as it initially seems. You're right about anarchs loving the next matchup though. I think your other ice needs to be anarch hate. Which probably means Eli, architect and lotus field. I might be wr...

Re: The Psychology Of Netrunner and the Psi Game

Rolling a die and bidding 0-2 with a uniform probability is probably wrong. Rolling a die to add noise to what you think you ought to bid is probably not wrong. My experience is that you win most of your games bidding 2 as the corp. You lose most of your games bidding 0 as the runner, but that's sti...

Re: Geist is an awful ID

My problem with B&E is it's 9 slots on icebreakers that are alright (I guess). You also probably ought to have link. You might also want e3 (though maybe not - I guess it's just Hive and maybe Ashigaru of the actually played ICE that might keep you out). You might also want d4v1d (but you can't ...

Re: Data Pack: The Underway - discussion

Street Peddler will have the largest competitive impact, maybe im not understanding the card, what makes it so powerful? All i can see is it being used mostly for asops munching. It allows you to install stuff on the fly. It's an econ card. It draws you through your deck. It's concealed information...

Re: Because We Built It - Part 1: Clicks and Clots

Noise is pretty formidable against all 3 centrals. Imp is scary. Lamprey is a consideration. Nerve Agent is a pretty reasonable card in a world of many glaciers. Stuff gets chucked in the bin. That's probably his main strength. Medium at 4 counters is often game over though. Medium is really good. I...

Re: jinteki.net is....good?

Sorry king_mob. I didn't mean to cause offence. I'm in your head. In all seriousness. Playing randoms on the internet has never been the best way to get a good game of anything. I think the Jinteki.net interface is massively improved. I hope there's a stimhack league or similar on there soon. I find...

Don't know if I count as really good @pruneface, but challenge accepted. (I think supermodernism in general is pretty close to a relevant archetype even if it's not been top tier for a while).

Re: Netrunner - love/hate

I'm recovering. I enjoyed HBFA with archer for a while. That isn't a bad deck. Actually I like the metagame a lot at the moment. There appear to be at least 2 relevant decks from each faction.

Re: Netrunner - love/hate

Love - the anarch way. Breaking ice so it stays broke. Hate - special snowflake tendencies/dominant (especially corp) decks This is complicated- I hate that I want to build something original because it means that my decks don't work as well as they could. But I also hate that 5/6 of the top 10 corp...

There's a saying in Go. Detachment is worth 2 stones.

It's way easier to figure out what you should be doing in retrospect and when you aren't looking for a specific option. I fear the day when my tournament games are posted online for public criticism.

Re: Can we talk about how good street peddler is?

If you can't get behind inject in noise I think you might be a lost cause. Inject is so strong for noise it's absurd. The cards you chuck simply don't matter. Noise is about finding his buddy Aesop ASAP. Therefore inject. Also it's a gorgeous playmat.

Re: Weekly Casual Meetup

I think not running out is important, maybe not as important as I think, but still important. If your deck runs out without her you're toast. With her you can last 3-4 turns after deck death. I've been playing some NEH. That ID is pretty silly. Whatever anyone says, it's easy mode netrunner. Need to...

Re: Weekly Casual Meetup

I think you need Kati in RegMaxx. She has the enormous benefit of not running out (except for unfortunate accidents involving burly men). It's easy to come up with worst case scenarios with blacklist but I don't think they come up all that often. I should net deck Dan D's version and play in verbati...

I think it's way harder in real life. Unless you have the kill in hand. It's hard to bluff for 3-4 turns.
