Role Madness Mafia Game - Mafia Win

The Game is WIFOA set up, that is has an extra layer of intrigue where you choose what role you want and as long as no-one else before you has taken that you get it, else you get no power.

Priority List

1: Joey - 1 - Won - Cop - Mafia
2: Cerb -2 - Killed N1 - Role Cop - Town
3: Martin - 9 - Lynched day 3 - Arsonist - Minifaction
4: Chimp - 10 - Lost - Dentist - Town
5: Untiled - 11 - Killed N2 - Cop/Doppelganger - Town
6: SixtyTen - 17 - Lost - Vanilla - Town
7: Guy - 19 - Killed Day 3 - Vanilla - Town
8: Double - 7 - Lynched? D2 - Deputy - Town
9: Mendax - 7 - Lynced D1 - Out of towner - Town Aligned.
10: El - 6 - Won - Vanilla - Mafia
11: Nem - 6 - Killed N3 - Vanilla - Town
12: Tim - 6 - Won - Tracker/Watcher - Mafia
13: Just_Rob - x - Lost - Vanilla Town


Master Rolelist
1. Cop - Each night investigate someone, learn their alignment
2. Mason - Can talk to the other mason (if they exist) at night.
3. Mason
4. Dentist - Each night remove a players teeth, that player can not post at all the next day. (must target a player whos not already been dentisted)
5. Role blocker - Stop someones night action from happening
6. Doppelganger - Night 0 choose a player and copy their role (but not alignment) (if you copy the arsonist this way you become a 4th faction)
7. Toughguy - Night Kill Immune
8. King - One shot lynch immune
9. Mad Scientist - Can protect someone each night. If that player wouldn't of died, they die instead
10. Bartender - Once per game you may destroy a players role, that is converting them to just vanilla status, if you destroy the arsonist in this way they become town aligned (Was previously called psi ops general)
11. Hitman - Once per game can kill a player at night (considered no power if you've fire the shot before you die for purposes of necromage)
12. Martyr - Chose a player each night and redirects all actions targeted at them onto themselves
13. Necromage - May active a dead players night power once per game. (once in total, not once per player) (if the power was limited and was used when the player was alive, you will be told you can't use it when you attempt to, this will not use up the charge)
14. Tree Stump - Can still post 1 post per day when dead but may not vote
15. Tracker/Watcher - Can see who targeted a player and who a player targets each night
16. Deputy - Becomes the cop if the cop dies (if the cop exists)
17. Arsonist - 3rd Faction, prime a player each night, the end of the next day that player catches fire and dies. (The prime is considered a NK for the purposes of tough guy and mad scientist). You win when you're the last man standing
18. Out of Towner - Can't be targeted by night actions apart from the mafia and arsonists kill. Other actions will be automatically blocked
19. Role cop - Investigate a player each night and learn their role
20. Double voter - Can vote twice each day

Game rules:

1. Do NOT post at night, or if you're dead
2. Do NOT edit your post
3. Do NOT talk about the game outside of this thread
4. You get 1 vote per day, if you do not use it you waste it, you can change and retract your vote as often as you like
5. If your role breaks rules 1, 2, 3, or 4 the role takes precedent (Example: Mafia members may talk to each other at night)
6. You may not quote directly from your role PM
7. Days last until a lynch is reached, if I day is going on to long I will impose a time limit, if a lynch isn't reached by that time no lynch will happen. Nights last 24 hours
8. Lynch requirement and vote counts will be posted regularly
9. Breaking the rules results in a modkill, no second chances
10. Be sportsman like, that is if your scum and your scumbudy gets you lynched don't say "My partners are that guy, this guy and that guy other there"
11. I understand the game gets heated, but personal attacks will not be tolerated and will result in a modkill and a ban from further games
12. It's just a game have fun
13. It's recommended you subscribe to this thread.

Victory Conditions:

Town - Win when all anti-town are dead
Mafia - Win when you out number or equal the alive town members and are the only anti-town faction alive
Other - See role pm

We're now onto the role pick stage, PM me your choice but if someone a higher priorty then you has taken it you'll instead be vanillia so choose wisely.

EG: Joey gets pretty much whatever he wants, if cerb picks the same as joey he's vanillia else he gets what he wants, Martin is vanillia if he picks the same as joey or cerb and so on.

Priority list is:

Joey - 1
Cerb -2
Martin - 9
Chimp - 10
Untiled - 11
SixtyTen - 17
Guy - 19
Double - 7
Mendax - 7
El - 6
Nem - 6
Tim - 6
Just_Rob - Ran out of time

Let's give it a tentative 48hours, if I get them all before then I'll send out PMs and start night 0. You don't know what team you're on until night 0.

He can't really say that given that it would auto default them to vanilla and make them less of a threat if they did come back into activity.

Well, the words 'never trust Tim the Enchanter' are ringing in my ears, so...

The subtleties of the system are just slowly unfolding to me! We actually have some information to go off here, we know who is likely to have a power role (if not who is which alignment). Would it be better to try and kill a scum (? Wolf?) power role, or play it safer and lynch someone less likely to have a power in order to draw out some information?

I'm sticking with my strategy from last game, lynch the quiet ones (obviously being careful around the dentist role). With that in mind I don't want to lynch any of the names listed yet, I want to give people a chance to get involved before putting someone to the torch!

OK. I haven't had enough time to think all this through yet but is random lynches definitely the right move here? we have *way* more info to go on than in the normal game, though i'll confess I can't really see how to understand its relevance for day 1.

The thing that interests me the most is that "town" roles could actually belong to either side rather than be for the power of good.

Yeah the more i think about this game the more confused I get.. I think the rank order we chose in is going to be key to working out what is going on. But I think it is a hige disadvantage to have potential powerful roles on the side of the mafia, role cop gets little info on allegiance as well.. Its tough.

Going to leave voting for atleast tonight as need to think and clearly unfair to pick on people based on previous game allegiance. Plus give everyone a chance to realise the game has started!

I don't think we have more information than normal yet, but I think that information should roll in pretty quickly from night 1.

I have no role. I tried to take Doppelganger and this was unsuccessful so there are shenanigans afoot from one of those who came higher than me.
