Kit - A Retrospective

Postby Chimpster » Fri Jun 26, 2015 3:51 pm

Site Article: http://netrunners.co.uk/articles/kit%20 ... ctive.html

Top 8 finalist at the UK Nationals 2015, Seamus Macleod (without doubt the best dressed person at the tournament!), surprised many with the success of his Kit deck. Here he kindly takes us through the reasoning behind his deck choices and thoughts on where Kit is placed in the current meta.

Very much enjoyed this. Well written, good clarity of thought, and makes me want to give Kit another try. When can we get more from Seamus?

Hi.

Thank you very much for the kind words.

I'm actually putting together some ideas at the moment so hopefully soon.

Excellent stuff! I look forward to seeing an article on reducing agenda density in Corp decks. :)

Like the style and good content - fun to read.

Great article. I read it with a mixture of pleasure and sadness as the deck composition looks a lot like a list I was running last year, but more refined. The addition of clot has been a massive boost to this deck and my choice to switch to an aggressive criminal to try and counter rush decks reflects this. I'm glad you managed a level of success that I couldn't and got stealth kit on the radar.

Totally agree. The fast advance match-up was pretty tough prior to Clot.

Haha. Expect "Blue Sun and why it's better if you cheat" soon. I feel like I may be reminded of that incident for quite some time...

We were discussing having "random" deck checks at the next intercity with mine somehow being selected every round.

I think a lot of people, like me, read articles like this but don't post in the forum because they don't want to be writing something when they can't really add for fear of seeming too willing to just be everywhere on the forum.

Since I am already doing that this evening I thought I'd come by a say "good job" I really did enjoy the read and am pleased by both the use of Kit, and the final words of encouragement for people to find their own path.
