Is this a venue where parking is possible, or would you recommend some version of public transport?

Car park on site (pay and display) but can park for free on road around the corner, between the Custard Factory and South Birmingham College.

As Stephen said there is parking nearby.

If you are using public transport it is around 15 minutes walk from the city centre, which is well served with buses and train station. It is also just over the road from the coach station.
