It's alright James, I'm building Pete's decks, and Romain is providing the cards :D
Won't be down tonight though, being tortured with circuits :(

Great tourney last night! 14 peeps, Oxford is buzzing.

Mucho+lots of thanks to:

  • Guy for organising an event that ran smooth as an otter's pocket.
  • Sean and Romain for building me some sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet decks.
  • Tabbi and Sean for making one of my life goals come true... YISSSS WE PLAYED TEH RHINO HERO!!1!!!!!1!
Good games and banter as usual, ta for that.

I went 2/4 in the end over three rounds of Swiss which I though not too bad with Nero/Harischandra decks that I'd never seen before. Lara's Beale Or No Beale deck was a joy, Phil's Dyper Nasir deck was like being knifed in the scrotum with a hot spoon -- thankfully Phil's enthusiasm and wonderful acappella rendition of the Jurassic Park theme saved the day -- and it was grand to hear Anarch Romain's delightful "WTF is this Shaper bullshit?!?!"

Quote of the Evening comes from Guy who unselfconsciously fistbumped James with a cry of "Braintrust Buddies!"

I expect that I'll pop down for the odd night of NetRunner over the summer.

Cheers chummers!

Boooooyaaaaaahhh!

I did enjoy my games last night despite getting the wooden spoon. I think we can all learn the following lessons:

1 - Lara absolutely will ruse you with QPM and leave HQ open so you get all tagged and run. Even though that only works if I don't remove tags and run last click, because I am deeply stupid.

2 - Generally, Lara will ruse.

3 - She can win 2 psi games in a row against me.

4 - Edge of World is trickier in an ice destruction meta

5- Khan, played as presumably intended, will take every ounce of concentration and effort you can throw at her, and then be really terrible.

6 - You can't scare Tom.

Who is down in the house toniiiiight?

Tonight on offer from Guy's Deck Emporium there is:

HB that has been described as odd but is actually the most sensible thing I have created in a while

A Jemison deck that comes from the inceptionmind of Lara

A Noise deck that will likely peter out and not work

A Kit deck that really really should not work

I mean I might be waterproof but the following things aren't:

Cards
Deckboxes
Coats
Jackets
Trousers
Tokens

And all of them could affect my comfort level as I sit there wondering why the hell I brought these stupid cards to this stupid game *salt salt salt*

Romain is carrying a special care package for Guy. It's from Aldershot, so I'd be careful handling it.

I shall be there tonight

I have with me

The HB deck, a little modified, but still with Psykokenises because I realise I forgot to take it out.

A Titan deck that should possibly be Palana

A Ken deck that I'm OK with , but already leaning towards Eddie Kim next week.

Hi,

I had to skip this monday. Again. :(

It seems that mondays are little too busy for me (or I have to have my priorities straight.)
If somebody is looking for couple games of netrunner on some other night (or is going on tm on thursday) I would be eager to play.

That was true. There was four of us last night.

The staff from meeples said, that because there has been so few runners in monday nights they have to reserve big table for other customers.
There is still small table for us, but if there is coming more than four(? cant really remember this number.. ) we should call and reserve table beforehand.
This means that maybe we should be more punctual with telling each other if we are going to casual night. :?

There was fun games. On strange one was when PU and Edward had racing milling contest! :D

cheers,

J
